Over the holiday season, Bijou Phillips spent some time relaxing at Goldwynn Resorts in the Bahamas. On December 20, the actress posted photos from her trip on Instagram. Her estranged husband, Danny Masterson, is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence.
Bijou, 43, captioned the series of shots with a series of emojis, with friends and fans commenting about how much she “deserved” the trip.
While sunbathing on the beach, Bijou rocked a red and white bikini. One of the pictures showed her brother-in-law, Billy Baldwin, who is married to Bijou’s sister Chynna Phillips, soaking up the sun with her. She also posed for a selfie while wearing sunglasses while holding the camera up.

The Raising Hope star filed for divorce from Danny, 47, just days after he received his prison sentence in September. In May, he was convicted of two counts of forcible rape, stemming from incidents occurring between 2001 and 2003 that led to his sentence. When Bijou filed for divorce, she also requested full legal and physical custody of Fianna, 9 years old.
According to a statement from Ms. Phillips’ lawyer, she has made the difficult decision to seek divorce from her husband during this trying time. While her main concern is for her daughter, the strain on their marriage and family has been unbearable. Throughout Ms. Phillips’ personal struggles, Mr. Masterson has remained a constant source of support. She recognizes him as an exceptional father to their daughter and requests that their privacy be respected during this challenging period.
Before the guilty verdict, Bijou was supportive of the actor, who she married in 2011. The That 70’s Show star’s character was also advocated by her in a letter she wrote to the judge ahead of his sentencing. In her letter, she called Danny a “life-saving partner” and reflected on how he was an “amazing father” to Fianna.
“We need him more than you can imagine,” Bijou wrote. “I know he has been convicted of serious crimes, but he has been a wonderful husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter.
Danny agreed to sign over full custody in October, though he requested visitation.
