Chris Jericho, a superstar in AEW, has shocked everyone by saying he isn’t interested in fighting Adam Copeland, also known as Edge. After spending time together in the same promotion while working for WWE, the two legends are back in the ring together in 2023. Chris Jericho, though, seems uninterested in taking on the WWE Hall of Famer.
Ricky Starks and Big Bill, the current tag team champions of AEW, will face off against Jericho and Kenny Omega, who comprise the dangerous Golden Jets, at Worlds End. At the same time, Christian Cage and Adam Copeland are embroiled in a fierce rivalry. With the assistance of Nick Cage’s mother, Cage retained the TNT Championship last week on Dynamite by defeating him.
During an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Chris Jericho discussed his views on potential opponents in the future of wrestling. He said he isn’t in a rush to make a decision and that, although he thinks wrestlers like Christian Cage and Adam Copeland would make excellent opponents, he isn’t interested in facing them.
As intriguing new opponents that Jericho hasn’t faced previously, he mentioned Swerve Strickland and Mark Briscoe.
In an effort to win the AEW tag team championship, Jericho and Kenny Omega have teamed up to take on Ricky Starks and Big Bill. Whether former adversaries Jericho and Omega can win the title of tag team champions is something to look forward to.
Is it possible that Adam Copeland and Chris Jericho met in AEW?
A couple of AEW members are Chris Jericho and Adam Copeland. Recently, Jericho stated his disinterest in fighting Copeland. We still don’t know if these two stars had met or communicated in AEW, despite Jericho’s claims.
Oh, absolutely! Adam Copeland made his first appearance on Dynamite the next week, facing off against Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, following his unexpected debut at the AEW WrestleDream PPV. Copeland greeted Jericho with a “good luck” and “nice to see you again” during their encounter.
Although Chris Jericho has shown no desire to face Adam Copeland in AEW, the two did square off for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXVI. In that match, Jericho beat Copeland and came out on top.
