Kelsey Grammer BBC Interview Reportedly Cut Short as Talk Turned to his Support of Donald Trump

A radio presenter claims that this week, Paramount+ representatives abruptly ended an interview with “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer when the topic of his support for former US President Donald Trump came up.

“Today” host Justin Webb of BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program noted that, earlier in the interview that aired on Monday, Grammer had brought up actor and producer Roseanne Barr.

In the 2018 hit revival of the sitcom “Roseanne,” Barr—who actually supports Trump—portrayed the role of fake Trump supporter Roseanne Conner. But ABC eventually cancelled her show because of the racist statements she made on Twitter (now X). Barr expressed regret and said she thought the sleep medication Ambien had an effect on her conduct.

According to Webb, Kelsey Grammer was more than happy to continue discussing it.

The Paramount+ public relations team was “less happy” that he went into detail about it, he told them.

They thought our interview had been well-paced. I should emphasize, though, that he was more than happy to discuss the reasons for his continued support of Donald Trump in the next election, as Webb pointed out.

For comment, We have reached out to Paramount+ and Grammer’s camp.

The October Paramount+ relaunch of the popular ’90s comedy “Frasier” was discussed by Grammer on the BBC show.

Reportedly, Frasier will be back in Boston from Seattle “with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfil” in the upcoming chapter, as stated in the series description on Paramount’s website.

The title character, a haughty psychiatrist played by Kelsey Grammer, was a fan favorite from the 1980s sitcom “Cheers” before obtaining his own spin-off series.

One of the most profitable spin-offs in television history, the original “Frasier” ran for eleven seasons and set a record for most Emmys ever given to a comedy series with 37.
