Eloway Music urges you to Stay Home Stay Safe
Stop spreading Corona virus
There are many precautions that can protect you from being victim or cause of spreading COVID 19. Eloway is standing with motto of staying home. Viruses such as the new corona virus easily spread through hands. Many people also (unnoticed) often sit with their hands on their nose or mouth. By no longer shaking hands, you reduce the chance of becoming infected and infecting others with the new corona virus.
Why is it important to wash your hands well often?
Viruses spread very easily through hands. By washing your hands well and regularly you reduce the chance that you will get sick, but also that you will infect others. Soap breaks the ‘lipid layer’ containing the virus and kills the virus. That is why washing with soap is very effective. Look here for tips on how to properly wash your hands.
Why is it called upon to work from home as much as possible?
The new corona virus can spread in places where people are close together. This can be at work, such as at the office, but also, for example, in public transport. When people work from home, they come into less contact with others and are less in places where many people are present at the same time. This helps to prevent the spread of the new corona virus.
Why do I sneeze or cough in my elbow, not my hands?
Viruses such as the new corona virus easily spread through hands. Many people also (unnoticed) often sit with their hands on their nose or mouth. Sneezing or coughing in your elbow reduces the chances of becoming infected and infecting others with the new corona virus.
Can I still shop?
The following applies to everyone in the Netherlands: stay at home as much as possible. Go outside only when necessary. If you have no complaints, you can simply do your shopping. Go shopping alone and keep 1.5 meters away from others. Then there is little chance that others will infect you. Do you have colds such as colds, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough or increase to 38 degrees Celsius: stay at home? Ask someone else to run errands or have them delivered.
What is meant by ‘social distancing’, and why is it important?
Through social distancing, also known as social abstinence distance, you have less contact with others or you keep distance from others. This reduces the chance that you will infect each other. Less contact with each other means a slower spread of the virus. As a result, fewer people are infected at the same time and care institutions are not overburdened. Examples include: working from home, staggered working hours when working from home is not possible, staying home with respiratory complaints and avoiding places where many people can come together. Keeping your distance means keeping 1.5 meters (two arm lengths) apart to protect yourself and others from corona virus infection. Small droplets containing the corona virus are released into the air through coughing and sneezing. Humans can inhale these droplets and become infected. When you sneeze, these drops rarely go further than 1.5 meters. By keeping your distance and avoiding contacts, the new corona virus is less likely to spread. You are unlikely to get sick if you touch or grip items or surfaces, such as mail, packages or a bunch of flowers. The chance is even smaller if you wash your hands regularly and it prevents you from getting your hands on the face after touching them. If you know the owner of the stuff is sick, wash your hands as soon as there is an opportunity.
Young children (up to and including 12 years old) may still continue to play outside together, under the supervision of a parent / guardian. But if the child has a cold like nose, runny, sore throat, mild cough or increase to 38 degrees Celsius, stay home. If the child is free of complaints for 24 hours, he can go outside again. From currently available data, children appear to have few complaints of the corona virus and little contribution to the spread of the virus. But urgent advice is to limit the number of young children playing together. It is important that children also try to avoid intensive physical contact as much as possible and those they wash their hands before and after playing with toys / appliances. Parents or guardians who supervise should keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
This corona virus has most likely spread to humans from an exotic animal in China. Many different animal species are brought together alive in markets. The conditions in these markets make it easier for viruses to jump from one animal species to another, and also from animals to humans. The virus subsequently spread further due to human-to-human infection. Whether the animals still play a role in transmission in China is still under investigation, after all, the source has not been found. We assume that no animal-to-human distribution can take place in the Netherlands, not even through the food eaten here. Corona viruses need an animal or human to “stay alive” and grow. That is not possible in food.
