How to Find Your Lost Samsung Phone

Use Find My Mobile to track your Samsung phone using your Samsung account.

You can use Google’s Find My Device if you’ve connected your Samsung phone to your Google account.

To protect your personal information, you can ring  lock or wipe your phone remotely.

Samsung’s SmartThings Find offers extra tracking features for some Samsung devices.

Finding Your Samsung Phone with Find My Mobile

If you’ve lost your Samsung phone  you can use Find My Mobile, a helpful tool connected to your Samsung account.

To get started make sure Find My Mobile is activated on your Samsung device.

Open your Samsung phone’s settings.

Scroll down and select Biometrics and Security.

Tap on Find My Mobile.

Toggle the switch to activate it.

Sign in to Your Samsung Account

To use Find My Mobile, you need to be signed in to your Samsung account on your device. If you’re not already signed in, follow these steps.

  • Open the Settings on your Samsung phone.
  • Scroll down to Accounts and Backup.
  • Tap Accounts.
  • Select Add account and sign in with your Samsung account credentials.

Locating Your Phone

Now that Find My Mobile is activated and you’re signed in, you can find your lost Samsung phone.

  • Visit the Find My Mobile website.
  • Sign in with your Samsung account credentials.
  • You’ll see a map displaying the approximate location of your device.
  • You can also remotely perform actions like Ring  Lock  or Wipe data on your device.

Following these steps, you can quickly find your Samsung phone’s location and take the necessary actions to secure it.

Ring Your Samsung Phone

If your phone is nearby but can’t find it, Samsung allows you to ring it even if it’s in silent or vibrate mode.

  • To ring your Samsung phone.
  • Go to the Find My Mobile website.

  • In the left-hand menu  click on Ring.

Your phone will ring at total volume for one minute  helping you locate it within your immediate surroundings.

Lock and Secure Your Samsung Phone

If you suspect your phone is stolen or want to ensure your data remains safe while attempting to locate it  you can use the Lock feature through Find My Mobile and Google’s Find My Device.

To lock your phone and secure it.

Access the Find My Mobile website for Samsung or the Find My Device website for Google  as previously described.

Sign in with your respective account.

Choose the Lock option

Follow the prompts to set a new PIN or password for your device.

You can also display a message on the lock screen with your contact information, which can be helpful if someone finds your phone.
