We all live fairly busy lives, even though we have various tools and technologies at our disposal, which can be used to make our lives faster and easier.
But that does not translate well in our practical life, young kids have school and various extra-curricular activities which gives them barely enough time to sleep well. Most of us work around the clock, first at our workplace and later at our homes, many of us have exclusive home-offices where we spend most of our vacation time as well as weekends.
This constant moving and doing is because we have a lot to do, and we schedule things too close by, within a short frame of time.
Everyone is so busy that we are exhausted most of the days, but we humans have made a sport out of it. We boast about our excessively busy lives as see it as a mark of importance as well as pride. We look upon people who get only 3-4 hours of sleep every night and even strive to become like them.
For many people, it is not even necessary or essential to be busy, they can easily cut out a few items off their to-do list or delegate it without any problem. But we humans have developed an unhealthy obsession with impossible schedules which involves a lot of quick hustling that we don’t even realize that we are planning for long-term failure and doom.
Yes, being so busy is neither good for your mental health, nor recommended for your physical health, and if you continue, you will soon face burnout, which can end up in a nervous breakdown if you don’t make the necessary changes as soon as you can.
Here are a few ways to take it easy on your schedule and regain the power back on your life, empowering your physical, mental, and emotional health!
1 Set Clear Boundaries Separating Your Work Life and Your Personal Life
We are often doing our office work or business dealings even when we are on a vacation or after spending about 15 hours at the office because we do not have any set boundaries between our work life and our personal life.
If you live alone, it may be easier for you to keep on working most of the time, but it does have negative impacts in the long way run.
If you a family man, with a wife, parents, and children living with you then please be aware that you are choosing your work over spending time with your parents, sharing memories with your children, or helping out your spouse.
This is a direct attack on your personal relationship just because you cannot manage to maintain a balance between your work life and your own life.
For this, you should first try to schedule your work better, if there is something that you can cut off or delegate from your task list then do it immediately. You don’t have to do everything yourself, no matter how much you feel otherwise.
You can achieve this by allocating set office hours, as much as possible, complete your work within the duration of your working day, and don’t take your work to your home.
If you are working from home, allocate a separate space just for work, and don’t sit there when you are trying to relax. Have regular timeouts and have a fixed routine even at home, so that your routine has a structure that is beneficial for your productivity.
Have a few hours reserved just for spending time relaxing, and rejuvenating, and shifting your focus from work to your personal life.
You can take a relaxing bath after work, or go out for a walk or do anything that changes your focus.
2 Set Specific Time for Physical Activities in Your Routine
If you have been having round-the-clock work routines so far, it is quite possible that you may have not allocated a specific time for physical activities.
If your work involves a lot of physical movements, such as if you are a professional cricketer then you might be already having a lot of physical movement, so you can skip this step.
But if you are like most of us who work by typing away like a drone on our computer screens then you surely need some physical movement.
It can be as less as 20 minutes but if you can begin your day with some activity that involves your body such as a morning walk, some yoga positions, or some other activities which warms up your body and makes the blood go circulating well after you wake up in the morning.
If you engage in regular exercises, you will be able to stay fit and boost your immunity system, cutting down your chances of falling sick to half. Also, good blood circulation that comes with exercise prevents as well as improves the symptoms of the condition treated by medications such as Cenforce 100,Vilitra 20 mg, and Flibanserin known as erectile dysfunction.
3 Sleep Well & Cut down Your Stress
If you are someone who takes immense pleasure in boasting about how less you sleep, the joke is on you as you are deteriorating the condition of your brain, your body as well as your mental health.
If you don’t sleep well, within a week or two, you will start having trouble concentrating on your tasks, and your productivity will take a downward plunge. You may even start suffering from fatigue and brain fog which will slowly decrease your interest in your work as well as your personal life.
It will also deteriorate the health of your heart, it will make you dependent on medications containing Sildenafil citrates such as Malegra 100 and Suhagra 100 for aiding the widening of your blood vessels for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension and erectile dysfunction if you are a man.
If you make any of these changes to your life, you will be able to regain your energy, enjoy a better interpersonal relationship with your loved ones, and even boost the quality of your work. When it comes to doing excessive work, for the sake of your body and brain, remember that less is, at times, more.
