We all live fairly busy lives, even though we have various tools and technologies at our disposal, which can be used to make our lives faster and easier.

This constant moving and doing is because we have a lot to do, and we schedule things too close by, within a short frame of time.

Everyone is so busy that we are exhausted most of the days, but we humans have made a sport out of it. We boast about our excessively busy lives as see it as a mark of importance as well as pride. We look upon people who get only 3-4 hours of sleep every night and even strive to become like them.

For many people, it is not even necessary or essential to be busy, they can easily cut out a few items off their to-do list or delegate it without any problem. But we humans have developed an unhealthy obsession with impossible schedules which involves a lot of quick hustling that we don’t even realize that we are planning for long-term failure and doom.

Yes, being so busy is neither good for your mental health, nor recommended for your physical health, and if you continue, you will soon face burnout, which can end up in a nervous breakdown if you don’t make the necessary changes as soon as you can.

Here are a few ways to take it easy on your schedule and regain the power back on your life, empowering your physical, mental, and emotional health!

1 Set Clear Boundaries Separating Your Work Life and Your Personal Life 

We are often doing our office work or business dealings even when we are on a vacation or after spending about 15 hours at the office because we do not have any set boundaries between our work life and our personal life.

If you live alone, it may be easier for you to keep on working most of the time, but it does have negative impacts in the long way run.

If you are working from home, allocate a separate space just for work, and don’t sit there when you are trying to relax. Have regular timeouts and have a fixed routine even at home, so that your routine has a structure that is beneficial for your productivity.

Have a few hours reserved just for spending time relaxing, and rejuvenating, and shifting your focus from work to your personal life.

You can take a relaxing bath after work, or go out for a walk or do anything that changes your focus.

2 Set Specific Time for Physical Activities in Your Routine

If you have been having round-the-clock work routines so far, it is quite possible that you may have not allocated a specific time for physical activities.

If your work involves a lot of physical movements, such as if you are a professional cricketer then you might be already having a lot of physical movement, so you can skip this step.
