When will Season 4 of The Boys premiere?
The premiere of season 4 of The Boys has not been announced. The third and final season of the show will debut on July 8, 2022, after being renewed in June 2022. It’s possible that fresh episodes will take some time to come out.
The Boys Season 3 is expected to premiere in late 2023 or early 2024 now that filming has concluded on April 12. It usually takes around a year and a half from the time production on the show begins until it finally airs. Obviously, this is merely a guess at this point. We promise to keep you informed as soon as any formal announcements are made.
The spin-off series based on The Boys is anticipated to premiere before season 4. The cast was announced in a special video(opens in new tab) posted on the official The Boys social media account. This generation is known as Gen V. No official date has been set, but it will likely debut on Prime Video in early 2023. In this offshoot, college-aged Supes attend a university managed by the villainous Vought, where they are subjected to Hunger Games-style tests.
Some crossover with Kripke’s main series The Boys has been hinted at. As he told Deadline (opens in new window): “There’s definitely crossover, and we’re doing our best to construct a universe that sees some of the themes and storylines in Season 3 pass off to the first season. A presidential campaign will be going on in the background, and there will be changes made to the school as a direct result of what happened in Season 3 of The Boys. There’s Soldier Boy and so on, but there are also some fresh storylines from the spin-off’s season that we need to pick up and carry into Season 4 of the main series. There were cameos in the first teaser as well.
Tale of Boys, season 4
Season 4 of The Boys has not been officially confirmed, but we have a pretty decent sense of what will happen based on the season 3 conclusion.
Since reuniting, the Boys have become more dedicated than ever to their mission to bring down the Supes. It now appears that Victoria Neuman is their primary adversary. With the help of Homelander, she was able to secure the Vice Presidential nomination in the season finale after her rival was swept away by The Deep. This makes her a strong contender to become the most politically influential Supe of all time.
Starlight, though, will provide some assistance this time around. She initially tried to make changes from the inside, but now she’s a committed member of team Butcher. After Temp V, he may need all the support he can get to recover from its effects. Due to the effects of the medication on his body, Billy will be in grave danger in the upcoming season.
Kripke hinted at this turn of events in an interview with Variety(opens in new tab), saying the focus will shift to Neuman in Butcher’s final months. They’re competing against the DeSantis ticket, the author noted. He’s got a crazy clock, and that’s part of the joy of starting Season 4, which we’re still figuring out for this. He has a long list of things he needs to accomplish.
The showrunner continued, “What we find fascinating about the question we’re asking about Butcher is, is he self-aware enough to realize that he’s causing his own misfortune?” Is he aware of himself enough to evaluate if he can alter his behavior? Those are some of the intriguing discussions we’re having in preparation for Season 4.
And finally, there’s Homelander. Just because you’re smarter than everyone else doesn’t mean you’re smarter than them. Despite the Supe lasering a bystander and broadcasting his unpopular toxic beliefs in a national TV address, the Storm Chasers are as staunchly in his corner as ever. After revealing his son Ryan’s abilities to the public, he is now accompanied by both him and his son.
Kripke hinted at potential future developments in this plot while speaking to IGN(opens in new tab). A second Homelander raised by him will have devastating consequences if he is allowed to raise Ryan. “If he stays there, he’ll end up like one of the Homelanders,” Kripke warned. One of the big clashes in Season 4 will be between Butcher and Homelander, and I believe this to be a clue at that conflict.
There has been no confirmation regarding the presence of a new antagonist in season 4. The situation with Soldier Boy is neutralized, but he is still alive. When the next season of the show finally arrives, he may once again be benched. We believe that Kripke has a new weapon up his sleeve for the next fourth season, and that we will finally meet the person who can defeat Homelander once and for all.
Season 4 cast of The Boys
Almost everyone from the original cast of The Boys is expected to return for Season 5. In the next months, we should start hearing about casting for Season 4. Meanwhile, we’ve checked to see who survived the season 3 finale.
The gang will eventually return. Jack Quaid will play Hughie, Laz Alonso will be Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capone will be Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara will play Kimiko, Erin Moriarty will play Starlight, and Karl Urban will play Billy Butcher.
Homelander was the only member of The Seven to survive the ordeal. That means Antony Starr, The Deep (Chase Crawford), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), and Vought suck-up CEO Ashley (Colby Minifie) will all be returning. Cameron Crovetti has been promoted to series regular status as a result of Homelander’s third season’s success in launching his son Ryan into the spotlight.
Since Victoria Neuman is expected to become US Vice President, Claudia Doumit will likely return. Paul Reiser, who plays The Legend, and Katy Breieras, who plays The Deep’s now-divorced wife Cassandra, are two more regular characters that could make a comeback.
In season 4 of The Boys, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the most notable newcomer to the cast. His role on the show is currently secret. The actor took to Twitter after the announcement: “Can’t tell you how delighted I am! Sincere appreciation to @therealKripke, @AMCPlus, and @TheBoysTV for working around the conflicting air times. challenging work. Totally psyched! Alongside Urban’s Butcher, we were also treated to our first glimpse of his character.
