In today’s world of social media and technology, it seems even more difficult to find and maintain a relationship than ever before. Once you find your person, it’s essential you know how to keep it healthy for you and your partner’s sake. Maintaining a healthy relationship isn’t necessarily difficult, but you will need to put effort and hard work into it.

How can you ensure your partner feels loved by you? How will they know you understand them and their emotional needs?

2. Keep Your Own Identity

Although you and your partner have become one, you both still need to find ways to keep your own identity as well. Instead of forgetting to do the things you love in order to do all the things you do as a couple, try to schedule a time and day each week or month to dedicate to you.

All relationships, whether romantic or not, have disagreements here and there. Why? Because no two people have the same exact mind.

You should both feel comfortable enough to express your own thoughts about things without the fear of getting into a verbal fight. 

This is all a part of keeping great communication. The better your communication skills are, the healthier the relationship will be. 

4. Consider What Attracts One Another

Don’t forget to keep the spark alive either. Consider what attracts you to your partner. Communicate this with them.

You should also ensure your partner communicates what attracts them to you as well. What do the two of you find attractive and unattractive? This is a great way to help keep that spark alive between the two of you.
