According to The Dirty Sheets, WWE officials originally arranged Brock Lesnar (c) vs. The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36.

This might have been done after The Rock returned to the WWE during the FOX premiere of SmackDown.
The officials were hopeing that The Rock would agree to do the match as well as he could be medically fit to wrestle. But later declared that The Rock couldn’t get cleared. So they replaced The Great One with Seth Rollins. Rollins was suppose to be drafted to blue brand just to participate in this match. But he is the face of the Red brand which is why the shift may have not happened. Rather, Brock Lesnar was switched to the Monday night Raw.
Later, another plan was canceled before the current WrestleMania main event was set featuring Bray Wyatt. Soon after this, plans for Lesnar vs. Reigns vs. Rollins (which was the impromptu main event of WrestleMania 31 in 2015) got dropped as well and talks about Bray Wyatt main eventing WrestleMania 36 began. The current plan is for “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (c) vs. “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship to main event WrestleMania 36.”
Right now, the plan is to host this mega match at WrestleMania from SmackDown featuring the two prime figures of the Smack Down. If this one ends up being the actual plan, then “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s would main-event the Wrestlemania for the first time. As for Big Dog, it will be the 5th WrestleMania main event of his career.
