Not sure how to choose a wedding dress color?
You’re not alone! There are so many different colors and styles of dresses that it can be hard to choose just one. But we’re here to help!
We’ve put together a list of five gorgeous wedding dress colors that will make you stand out from the rest. Each color is unique in its own way, but all look amazing on brides everywhere.
So often, brides choose safe colors from Avery Austin like white, ivory, or cream that blend into the rest of the guests at their weddings, but there are many other gorgeous shades that will be sure to catch everyone’s attention.
Here are five of my favorite wedding dress colors that will help you stand out from the crowd!
1. Red
I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of brides in white wedding dresses—but have you ever seen a bride in red? If not, it’s time to start taking color into consideration when picking out your dream dress.
Red is bold and beautiful—it makes a statement. This isn’t to say that white doesn’t, but if you are looking for something that will really make heads turn on your big day, consider choosing a red wedding dress.
2. Black
If you want to make a bold statement, consider wearing a black wedding dress. You can find gorgeous, sleek styles in almost any fabric—chiffon, taffeta, lace, and more.
Black is also flattering on many body types. Just be sure not to wear too much jewelry with your black dress; you don’t want to compete with your wedding day attire!
3. Blue
A classic color that never goes out of style. Still, you want your dress to be unique, don’t you?
Try one of these alternative shades for a look that will turn heads at every reception.
White looks spectacular on tanned skin, so be sure to take a week off before your wedding and spend some time on vacation in St. Tropez or Mykonos!
4. Yellow
If you’re after something that stands out from everyone else at your ceremony, try a white wedding dress. Most brides want to look like they’re glowing, and there’s no better way than wearing white.
Another plus is that it goes with everything—choose anything for your accessories and you won’t be disappointed!
But remember to shine in any color you pick; no one wants to see your sparkle fade away halfway through the night.
5. White
As far as wedding dress colors go, white is still your best bet. No matter what season or color palette you choose for your wedding day, it’s always a good idea to have at least one white dress in your wardrobe.
White tends to pop against other colors—so don’t be afraid to pair it with bright hues or deep tones.
